Getting Ready

 

Walls up, braced, and now making room for the side walls. 

(These walls look pretty good, even after being covered in ice and snow!)

Up it comes!

 One fine January morning, with the help of Mr. Miller and his brother, the second story walls were lifted up!

My photo record of construction pauses here for a couple months. There wasn't much we could do on the house-that-wasn't-yet, except watching the melted snow drip down in places we didn't want it to go.
