Jig

I can't remember what all this is, but I did learn to appreciate homemade "jigs"  throughout this house building process. Here a clamp on the whatchamacallit is holding a somethin'-or-other, and that is all powered by a drill below the table. 

(I just caught one of the builders walking by as I was writing-- who told me it was basically a home-made planer)

Once it is on and running, it cuts out exactly what needs cutting, or shaves down exactly the shape that needs shaving, etc.
It was needed to get to the next project-- a front door!
