This antique postcard is from Graphics Fairy. I have added a scripture to it as best as I can, so you can print it out on card stock and send it to a friend! If you want a back to it, Graphics Fairy has a nice one on this post.
I have been trying to figure out a way to make the text print out clearly, so I have uploaded this file as a pdf for download. Here is a link to it. It prints out in the middle of the page, unfortunately, but perhaps those who understand their printer better than I do can print 2 cards to a page to use the space better.
Here is a site on the history of postcards.
Enjoy!
p.s a little bit of gold or silver glitter applied to the dark spots of the rose and leaves would be nice, as that is what I think the original postcard had.

Sunshine
Meet "Sunshine."
I do not usually name my clothing, but this dress was so cheerful, it inspired me to do so.
This is made from a "vintage" Simplicity pattern from the 1970's, for a wedding dress or bridesmaid's gown.
A friend found this pattern at a garage sale, and she knew I'd like it. She was amazingly right - as soon as I saw it, I was smitten! It is a sweet, lovely design, with cute sleeves, and lots of lace!
I am not fond of 1970's fashions in general; I do not know how many of you survived that decade. Polyester in thick and scratchy forms, fabric prints full of fungus, icky frogs and insects; colors of mud brown, algae green, atrocious unearthly orange and "harvest gold" (which is a rather muddied gold color with a greenish cast). Ugh. Ick. Yuck.
However, I have found out that some good fashions can come from the '70s, and that I can handle this yellow, which I am not calling harvest gold, but is the welcome color of sunshine now that our days are getting overcast.

Do Not Quit
The Entangled Kite Giclee Print Foster, Myles...Buy at AllPosters.com
"When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit."
