A Leaf from the Autograph Album, 1892

"Pine Lake, Dec. 26th '92
Dear Sister Carrie,
Say gentle words, for who can tell
the blessings they impart [;]
How oft they fall as manna fell
on some nigh fainting heart.
Your Sister,
Ida M. Jacobson"

I am impressed with that "I" in Ida.

Isn't it interesting that with some education and practice, one's handwriting and signature can become a personal and exclusive art form?
